November is National Novel Writing Month

I've issued myself a dual challenge. Here we go again, you say. And I say, yea, take heed, faithful reader(s)! If indeed there are more than one of you. My new goal is bi in nature. No, it won't just sleep with anyone it wants. There are two of them:

I will participate in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).

I will attempt to finish my current novel before NaNoWriMo.

Let me explain. Crazy people around the world take on a truly insane challenge to write a novel during the month of November. Completed, it must be 50,000 words and it must be a new project (one you haven't started writing before Nov. 1). In return you get...

nothing.

Except the enormous satisfaction of having finished a novel, which many people prior to facing this challenge have never done. Hopefully, I will have. I'll at least be extremely close. Plus, you get to participate in something akin to the Olympics of writing. Or a marathon of writing. Or at least a monthlong break from bathing, cleaning, going to the gym, and being social. Or a test to see how supportive your spouse REALLY is!

It's part of my "four books in two years" plan. Stay tuned! And check out the NaNoWriMo website for more details. Anyone wanna join me?
